oh, this is so awesome. you're a great Frida.
i wish i could be Frida. but i so lack something. the hair? did you see the whole frida-themed spread in the vogue knitting knit 1 summer art issue?
http://www.knit1mag.com/
find it if you can. it's great. i need to dig mine back out and make something frida-inspired.
so now i wonder how many frida-inspired posts there are out there? i searched for rebozos in mexico when i went because of her, and mentioned that in a post of mine about shawls: http://potlikker.typepad.com/bekka/2006/04/_where_does_my_.html
i just found your blog and love it! how could i not love a post involving frida?
this picture rocks! love it.
when i had my long hair (just cut it...11 inches, recently-) some of my friends would call me frida because of the way i always tied it back. this picture makes me miss my hair!
SO RAD! Great picture -- and quote.
amazing, you make a great frida.
she is a favorite of mine.
You are so #@#$%$# talented! Wow! How awesome! I read her book about five years ago. You should too! I love you and will miss you this week. T
I had to come back and look at it again! Awesome!
wonderful-
les, you are absolutely stunning! wonderful self portrait.
Whoa - well done!
Wow! You are so The embodiment of her in this photo! Such a Goddess! Both of you. I see her as a definate Goddess in our Collective Unconscious. She has become part of our feminine archetypal memory.. I could go on and on about her...and you you you look gorgeous.
