the time has come...
...to let go of Pearl. She has so many great stories and has been a dear to me. I can longer justify being a two-car owner and I do believe she and I really have come full circle now.
The short and sweet details are these:
$4300.00
1966 230S Mercedes Sedan
4 speed manual column shift
located in the San Francisco Bay Area
Really great Sunday driver with a few signs of age...
The story of how she came to be mine can be read here.
And howzabout a little spin?
Check out the full set of detailed photos and information on her over at my Flickr. After checking those out, please contact me at lesophie @ comcast.net or 415.388.3998.
Feel free to spread the word for me so some lucky someone has a chance to love her up as much as I have!
Thanks all :)

oh gosh. i wish i lived closer...but my hub would divorce me if i got another vintage car after the last one i had...
i had to find a home for my sweet 1970 convertible bug last fall. it was hard...
but sam has a great home now, in the country, and lives in a protective barn while he is being lovingly restored to good health again.
good luck. pearl is going to have a new adventure!
Oh man. Don't think Pearl would like VT weather. But I could keep her safe and warm until the summer...
thanks, kathleen :) I am undoubtedly NOT finished for old cars in this lifetime...perhaps a 1973 bronco when I turn 70? :)
oh, OP, can't you just imagine driving her around vermont in Summer? lovely :) now getting her out there...hmmm.
aww what a sweet little car
why are you selling her though?
because I'm not a two car girl anymore and the funds are needed. also, i don't have a garage for her and she deserves one :)
but... but... but? This may send me into a postpartum tailspin.
Better to have loved and lost, right?
Dadgummit.
Dark gray in matter,
Smooth to the core-burator,
Pearl before swine.
oh! she sounds sweet and tender and gentle and kind and lovely and wonderful and .....
i could fly out and drive her back east. that would be something, huh?
i'll keep dreaming...
wishing your Pearl a good home with a garage.
I wish I could have her. I've lusted after Pearl ever since I saw your blog months and months ago. Oh, she is a beauty.
