"...without darkness

Nothing comes to birth
dark

As without light
Nothing flowers." - May Sarton
light

I have spent much of my recent time pondering things as such.

Also, how differently, essentially and from how many different perceptions any one thing might be interpreted. My grass series, all taken on one day, from the same spot, with the same camera and lens...maybe the only thing that changed was the light but they have begun to represent more to me. This is some of what has been rolling around inside my head, presenting in my dreams, inspiring me lately...

What is in your head right now?
Do tell.

The backlit shot is stunning! The pair, a perfect visual for your musings.

My thoughts?...
Not just in the camera world, but in all aspects, perception is reality. Hence the root of all misunderstandings, arguments, wars... and whether the flower is dark or light!

How powerful to be able to show someone else our perspective and for them to show us theirs.

This medium of blogging has already broadened my perspectives and perceptions - I have grown from my connection with so many amazing souls and am continually inspired by them.

Wonderful ... as always.

Impressive from both sides, but I would say the 'dark-side' shot conveys a more intriguing aspect of the subject.

Right now my head is full of the wonder of the changing seasons, (and, unfortunately, along with this, tree pollen!). As you point out so eloquently, we should always recognize and relish multiple perspectives. :)
