detritus love.
there was much debate when the kids and I stumbled upon this while on our photo journey last weekend. what in the heck did it come from? a parade float was a big option but out near an abandoned grain mill in the countryside? perhaps from a memorial wreath? it had decaying foam on the back...nonetheless, one thing was decided for sure... that love is everywhere :)

That red is so stunning. Do you alter the colors of your photos in any way?
thank you all :) this project is endless - just how i like it :)
hadley: i usually tweak levels and saturtion a bit but not too much. those red things were sort of like plastic bugle beads (?) they were colored metallic red on the inside with some sort of clear coating which, i think, is part of why they glow so bright :)
