So much more hopeful than their other heart-shaped counterparts, the bleeding hearts!
I suppose they could be the proverbial "bleeding hearts" but they always looked like they were literally bleeding, to me.
Re: your cat - have you seen http://www.shirleys-wellness-cafe.com/ - it's got lots of natural information for animal health. I think ground flax/ linseed is good for preventing clots, but check it ok for cats first.

oh yum. after seeing this, i could eat a whole tree full!
Go Obama!!!!! Palin does not speak for me!
See, love does grow on trees....
hgc: yep, and the elephant heart ones, too. i'll stick with these :)
fiona: thank you for this - i have taken your advice and looked at this site - thank you so much - there is much excellent info to dig through!
rebecca: me too!
anon: I totally agree and will be blogging about this soon but, um, how did the plums make you think of that?
ness: aw, sweetness, you are totally right. i hope you are continuing to bliss out over there with your new babe :)
A tree full of hearts? That would be truly special.
If you want to see an incredible delicate flower and plant shaped like a heart. You should look for what we call 'herderstasje' rough translation is shepherdsbag. Thats a tiny green plant and all its leaves are little hearts. And there is this pink flower also shaped like a heart, what we call 'prinsessentasje', you call it bleeding hearts. In our language it means 'prinses purse'. At least that how I called them as a kid, how can you not be enchanted by the flora of this planet?
Gorgeous
beautiful!
love the pink background and green of the bowl! what a beautiful and humbling photo!
