self portrait as...

benevolence.

Do you ever, once in a very long while, see a photo of yourself and not recognize the image as what you actually LOOK like but more as what you FEEL like?

And then do you wish that you could FEEL that way more often?

Yeah, me too.

More self portraits here.

I love this. I didn't really think of that, but yes there are times that feelings are captured more than looks.
PS. you could be a referree for the SF roller derby. This is how I'll get my groove on without being pummeled and hurt.

That doesn't happen to me very often, but I love that it happened to you. The portrait is lovely.

Benevolence...perfect. And your face...its glowing. I love when the camera captures us in moments of pure embodiment. That is what is happening here. I love it!

I SO know what you mean.
Photos of myself as a pregnant first time mom vs. pictures of me as a mom of two preschool boys. Quite the comparison and though the shape of my happiness has evolved, the topography of my face has drooped and pinched here and there to make me look as if I feel just crappy, not happy.
This is a beautiful portrait of a beautiful you.
